Tassone

Spencer received his B.S. in Environmental Studies ('14) and M.S. in Biology ('17) from Virginia Commonwealth University. After graduating, he worked with Dr. Paul Bukaveckas at VCU as a river & estuarine ecology research assistant studying water quality, harmful algal blooms, and carbon cycling in Virginia and Lithuanian rivers and estuaries. Spencer is now pursuing a PhD in the Pace lab and is broadly interested in ecosystem metabolism, harmful algal blooms, and heatwaves.
